About

La Bonne Cuisine is a hunt for real food in London. I know, I know, “London’s made so much progress”, “London is now the food capital of the world”, “London can run faster than a speeding train”, etc. You’ve heard they hype, and so have I, but why is it that while things are definitely getting better, there’s still an implied roll of the dice when eating, cooking, or drinking in London.

In these pages, I share some of my recipes, finds, hints, and criticisms. It’s true, that I eat too much too out too often, and so I’ll also be dishing the dirt on the London restaurant scene. And I’ll throw in some wine for free as well!

Happy eating!

    Hi there,
I have been reading your blog for a while and I like it a lot. I really liked your post for Vinoteca, it seems like a nice place!
Do you know of TrustedPlaces? TrustedPlaces is a cool new website where people can remember, share, and discover their favourite places in London, the UK and across the world. Imagine MySpace + Time Out and you’ve got TrustedPlaces. Essentially all our members review and recommend great places that are local, different, have character, are family run,…essentially all kind of places that have a unique voice and are different from all the stale chains that are so commonly found across London. It would be great to have you as member on our site so that you can share your blog’s views with our members too.

In case you are in London right now, we’re throwing a great party with free cocktails, food and a very interesting show this Friday at Parker McMillan in London http://trustedplaces.com/docs/novemberparty.
Great if you can make it and please let me know if you have comments on TrustedPlaces.

    Best regards,
    Alexandros
